Oklahoma State Cross Country Earns Academic All-Big 12 Honors

STILLWATER – Twenty-two Oklahoma State men's and women's cross country athletes were named to the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Cross Country Team, with 19 of those earning first-team honors.
OSU's 13 men's selections led the conference and the 22 athletes overall is tied for most in the conference with Kansas State.
Highlighting the list are five student-athletes who were nominated with a 4.0 GPA – Sivan Auerbach, Heidi Demeo, Emily Forster, Ryan Schoppe and Taylor Somers.
Also earning spots on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team are Kian Davis, Alex Maier, Will Muirhead, Kevin Mulcaire, Jonas Price, Isaiah Priddey, Isai Rodriguez, Ryan Smeeton, Grant Wilcox, Molly Born, Gabby Hentemann, Stephanie Moss, Taylor Roe Maddie Salek.
This is the fourth first-team honor for Smeeton and Somers, while Rodriguez and Born have earned it three times, with Hentemann, Maier, Mulcaire, Priddey, Roe and Salek all receiving their second first-team honors.
The Academic All-Big 12 Second Team includes Nick Kenville, Wyatt Landis and Daniel Nickell.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.For more information on the Cowgirls, continue to check back with okstate.com.
