Matej Vocel Advances In Singles Play And In Doubles With Dominik Kellovsky

TULSA, Okla. - Matej Vocel, Dominik Kellovsky and Emile Hudd all competed in the first round of the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday. Each Cowboy competed in singles play, while Kellovsky and Vocel teamed up to compete in the doubles draw.

Matej Vocel was the only Cowboy to come out of singles play with a win. No. 19 Vocel defeated No. 58 Bradley Frye of USC, 6-2, 6-4. Hudd fell to No. 23 Alex Brown of Illinois in a competitve match, 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-4, while Kellovsky lost to No. 14 Matias Soto of Baylor, 6-4, 6-2.

No. 18 Kellovsky and Vocel defeated North Carolina's Mac Kiger and Simon Soendergaard, 6-4, 6-3.

Vocel will compete in the second round of singles play against No. 36 Ewan Moore of Tulane on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. (CST). Vocel and Kellovsky will then take on No. 17 Yuya Ito and Christian Sigsgaard of Texas at 1:30 p.m. (CST).
