April 12, 2026 | Cowboy Tennis
STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State men's tennis team came up short against No. 10 Arizona, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
Oklahoma State honored its two seniors, Alessio Basile and Aaron Williams. Both have contributed an immense amount to the Cowboy Tennis culture. Basile spent all four seasons as a Cowboy and was the longest tenured on the team.
The Cowboys move to 14-11 and 1-7 in Big 12 play. The win improves Arizona State to 20-3 (8-0).
In doubles, court three saw Arizona's pairing of Alejandro Arcila and Cole Stelse take down OSU's Ian Bracks and Charlie Valentine, 6-2. The Wildcats secured the doubles point with Jay Friend and Alexander Rozin beating Basile and Haydar Gokpinar of OSU, 6-4, on court two. Court one went unfinished with Arizona's No. 30 duo of Filip Gustafsson and Glib Sekachov tied, 5-5, against OSU's Nicolas Kobelt and Williams.
In singles play, Arizona started with a first set in five of six courts.
On court five, Alejandro Arcila of Arizona tallied a 6-0, 6-2 win over Williams. On court two, No. 67 Gustafsson defeated OSU's Kobelt, 6-2, 6-3. Arizona's Rozin followed with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Ian Bracks to clinch the match for the Wildcats.
