Last Time Out
Last time out, the Cowboys and Cowgirls were just east of Stillwater in Tulsa for the 2017 Tulsa Duels.
Molly Sughroue and Kaytlyn Larson made their steeplechase debuts in the 2,000-meter race and went one-two, finishing two seconds apart.
Ieva Zarankaite had a dominant weekend, going two-for-two in event wins as she won her main event of the discus as well as the women's shot put.
Megan Honas also scored an event win for the Cowgirls when she won the javelin throw at the Tulsa Duels for the second year in-a-row.
Emily Hart, Katie Kehl and Fenja Krohn all took runners-up in their respective events of the 100-meter hurdles, shot put and high jump.
The men of Oklahoma State picked up two wins in Tulsa in the 1,500-meter run and the 4X100-meter relay.
Redshirt freshman Heinrich van Niekerk won the 1,500-meter race ahead of three other Cowboys who rounded out the top-four, and the 4X100-meter team of Logan Daily, Tyler Jackson, Arlando Brewer-Johnson and Temitope Olonisakin ran a 41.20 for the win.
Olonisakin and Daily made their outdoor debuts with the Cowboys in the 100-meter dash and finished second and fourth, respectively.
Wesley Hallof's javelin heave was good enough for second-place and Sukhi Khosla also finished second in the 800 for the fourth runner-up finish of the weekend for the Pokes.
Â
Week Two 2016
Last year, Oklahoma State went to Arkansas again for the second week of the outdoor season, also for the Arkansas Spring Invitational.
While no Cowboys won any individual events, Simon Imagbe's seventh-place jump of 7.33m/24-0.75 feet sent the then Cowboy newcomer to the West Preliminary rounds.
OSU picked up a handful of top-five finishes in Fayetteville in the men's competitions, and the Cowgirls scored a win and two runners-up finishes in the women's competitions.
Anna Boyert was the lone OSU winner in the seeded running of the 800 meters.
All-American Chase Ealey finished second in the shot put and Megan Honas took second in the javelin.
Four Cowgirls ran in the seeded 1,500-meter run, and three of them finished in the top-10 with Abbie Hetherington leading the way with a fifth-place finish.

What To Watch For - Arkansas Spring Invitational
It's early in the outdoor season, which means some of OSU's promising athletes will make appearances at this weekend's meet in Arkansas.
Of those scheduled to compete, Heinrich van Niekerk enters the field just a week after he won his first ever race for the Cowboys at the Tulsa Duels.
Senior All-Americans Anna Boyert, Savannah Camacho and Stephanie Ferrante headline a deep roster of Cowgirls making the trip to the Natural State, but not to be overlooked are sophomore standouts Kaytyln Larson, Amira Coleman and Megan Harris, along with junior All-Americans Jennifer Celis and Chelsea Jarvis.
Malik Givens and Brandon Singleton are fresh off a successful indoor season that saw them both take All-Big 12 honors, and Singleton earn an All-America honor.
In the jumps, Simon Imagbe takes to the runway for the second time in the young season and freshman Fenja Krohn is entered in the women's high jump.
Ieva Zarankaite won two throwing events at last week's Tulsa Duels and Megan Honas is seeking not only back-to-back wins in the 2017 in the javelin, but back-to-back javelin titles at the Arkansas Spring Invitational, as she won the event back in 2016 as well.

Magnani, Haines Set to Represent Team USA
Oklahoma State freshman Michelle Magnani won the U.S. Women's Junior Cross Country title in 22:36 at the USATF National Cross Country Championships Saturday in Bend, Oregon.
Magnani outran a talented field of American women in the 6K en rout to the national title, and, with the win, earned a spot on the U.S. Junior team that will compete at the World Championships in Kampala, Uganda on March 26.
Cowboy Freshman Alec Haines finished seventh in the men's junior 8K race in 26:35 to also earn a spot on Team USA with former Cowboy Shadrack Kipchirchir who finished third in the men's senior race.
Magnani and Haines are the second pair of OSU athletes to compete at the USA Championships in the past two years. Current Cowboys Ben Butler and Christian Liddell finished third and seventh at the Championship race in 2016.
Â
Thompson, Edwards, Men's DMR Take All-America Honors
Six members of the Oklahoma State track and field program took home first-team All-America honors at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championships with seniors Josh Thompson and Kaela Edwards earning individual honors and Craig Nowak, Brandon Singleton, Bradley Johnson and Hassan Abdi earning the honor as a member of the distance medley relay team.
Thompson finished sixth in the men's mile, while Edwards finished fourth in the women's mile.          Â
It was Thompson's first individual honor as a Cowboy as he finished fifth with the Cowboy DMR team a season ago.
For Edwards, the honor gave her five first-team and six overall heading into her final outdoor season. The Cowgirl senior is OSU's highest scoring woman ever at Indoor Championship events with 29 points.
Dave Smith's Cowboys advanced to the NCAA Indoor Championships in the distance medley relay for the fifth-straight season and earned first-team honors for the third time in that span behind a spirited effort from Abdi in the mile leg, who was only added to the quartet earlier in the week.
Overall, the Cowboys finished 30th and the Cowgirls took 39th.
Â
Cowgirl Trio's Last Run
For Cowgirl middle-distance seniors Clara Nichols, Kaela Edwards and Savannah Camacho, the 2017 outdoor season will mark the end of their historic OSU careers.
The senior trio has been a part of OSU's most successful era and has been the forefront of the Cowgirls' scoring at conference and national meets since their freshman seasons.
While Edwards leads the group in All-America honors with six, five of which are first-team honors, Nichols has been the Cowgirls' second-highest point-scorer during her time at OSU and Camacho is tied with Edwards for outdoor All-America honors with two.
The Cowgirl group has been a part of 189 of the Cowgirls' points scored at both Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championship events since 2014. That is nearly 40 percent of the team's 524 total points, and Edwards sat out of the conference outdoor championships in 2016 due to injury.
Camacho is expected to open her outdoor season this weekend in Arkansas, while Nichols and Edwards will open the season at Stanford in a week.
