2016 Outdoors: Just missed out on a spot to the NCAA Championships when she finished 14th at the West Preliminary Rounds in the 800... Made the Regional with a personal best time of 2:04.45, which is fourth in school history... Scored for the Cowgirls with a third-place finish at the Big 12 Championships in the 800.
2016 Indoors: Ran the 800-meter leg for the Cowgirl DMR team that took ninth at the NCAA Championships... Grabbed the runner-up spot at the Big 12 Indoor Championships... Claimed top-five finishes in each 800 of her season.
2015 Cross Country: Ran twice for OSU... Took 16th at the Cowboy Preview and 45th at the Cowboy Jamboree.
2015 Outdoors: Did not compete.
2015 Indoors: Won her first Big 12 title when she ran an 2:06.95 in the 800-meter run... Set a lifetime best in the 800 at the Razorback Invitational by running a 2:06.25 and finishing fourth... Ran in three regular season meets for OSU.
2014 Cross Country: Ran just twice for the Cowgirls finishing 27th at the Hurrican Festival and 47th at the Bluegrass Invitational.
2014 Outdoors: Repeated her all-conference indoor performance with another All-Big 12 honor in the 800 meters, placing sixth at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 2:11.62...Went on to appear in the 800 meters at NCAA West Preliminary, where she finished 29th (2:09.86)...Compiled top-ten marks in three separate events at the Tulsa Duels, finishing third in the 4x400 meter relay, fourth in the 400 meters and seventh in the 200 meters.
2014 Indoors: Earned her third All-Big 12 selection at the conference championships, taking third in the 800 meters (2:07.83)...Set a new lifetime best in the 800 meters as well, running a 2:06.56 for fourth-place honors at the Alex Wilson Invitational...Also put up impressive performances with second-place finishes at the KSU Winter Invite (1:25.80 in the 600 yard run) and the KSU WIldcat Invite (58.10 in the 400 meter dash).
2013 Cross Country: Donned the orange and black at the Hurricane Festival, where she completed the two miles in 13:11, marking a 31st-place finish in her only appearance.
2013 Outdoors: Set a new personal best in the 800 meters, with a 2:07.31 at the Stanford Invitational, then beat that mark three weeks later with a 2:06.63 at the Mt. SAC Relays, which is the No. 3 time in OSU history ... Qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary in the 800 meters, and finsihed 29th.
2013 Indoors: Nichols had an impressive indoor campaign, landing in the top three on the All-time OSU list in two different events ... In the Big 12 Championships, running the 600 yards for the first time all season, Nichols pulled off a stunning performance, snagging third place and six valuable team points with a 1:22.51--the second-fastest time in OSU history ... At the Razorback Invitational, she ran the 400 meters in 56.08, which landed her at No. 3 in OSU history for the event ... At the Husky Classic, she ran the 400 meters in 56.50, placing fourth.
2012 Cross Country: Did not compete.
High School: Placed in the top two 16 times at the Nebraska state championship meet, including seven individual state titles (400m: ‘09, ‘10, ‘11, ‘12; 200m: ’11, ‘12; 100m: ‘12), three state relay titles (4x400m: ’10, ’11, ‘12), four individual runner up finishes (200m: ’09, ’10, 100m: ’10, ’11) and 2 relay runner up finishes (4x400m: ’09, 4x100m: ’09) … Holds the Nebraska state record for the 400 meters (55.05) … Ranked nationally as the No. 19 returning senior in the 400 meters … Named an All-state track and field athlete in 2009-12 … Voted team MVP in 2009-11 … Holds top 10 times in Nebraska records for 400 meters, 4x400 meter relay, 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meter relay … Named Most Improved Cornhusker Flyer in 2009 … Won the Kansas Relays 400 meter championship in 2011 … Named to the All-state academic track and field team in 2010-12 and the All-district academic team in 2011 … An honor roll student and AP Scholar … Also competed in volleyball and basketball as an underclassman.
