Cowgirl Golf Finishes Fifth At Spartan Invite

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team moved up two spots during the final round of the Juli Inkster Spartan Invite on Tuesday at Almaden Golf and Country Club to finish in fifth place.
The Cowgirls posted a 306 during their third round to finish at 917, 53-over, and one shot behind UC Irvine for fourth place. California moved from third to first with a 297 and an 899 total, which came in two shots clear of the field.
Individually, San Jose State's Cristina Corpus maintained her hold on the top spot with a final round 74. She finished two shots clear of the field at 217.
OSU's Caroline Hedwall finished alone in third at 220 after carding a closing 76. The sophomore was joined in the top 10 by freshman Victoria Park, who also carded a 76 to finish at 225 and tied for seventh place.
Freshman Courtney McKim posted a 77 during her third round to tie for 21st at 229, while freshman Hillary Wood moved up 15 spots into a tie for 63rd at 243 after a final round of 77.
Freshman Eyglo Oskarsdottir rounded out the lineup with an 81 to finish at 253 and tied for 82nd place.
The Cowgirls will return to action on March 22 at the BYU Dixie Classic in St. George, Utah.
