Cowgirl Golf’s Lee, Panya and Silchenko earn CSC Academic All-District selections

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State golfers Summer Lee, Tarapath Panya and Marta Silchenko have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be nominated, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA, be at least a sophomore academically and meet additional sport-specific athletic standards (for women's golf, participation in a conference championship or at least 70% of an institution's team scoring events). Those included on all-district teams will be considered for the CSC Academic All-America team, which will be announced on July 7.
This marks Silchenko's second consecutive year earning such honors. A junior from Riga, Latvia, Silchenko maintained a 3.778 GPA this year while majoring in international business. Silchenko also took home the Big 12 Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year award in May, becoming the first Cowgirl ever to earn the recognition.
Lee and Panya are both sophomores earning the first Academic All-District selection of their careers.
Lee, a marketing major from Plano, Texas, played in all but one of Oklahoma State's 13 tournaments this season and was the team's fourth-highest finisher at the NCAA Championship. Lee also earned academic recognition last year, as she was named an All-American Scholar by the WGCA.
Panya, who hails from Bangkok, Thailand, has not yet declared a major but has upheld model academic standing in each of her two years at Oklahoma State. Like Lee, Panya also received an All-American Scholar nod from the WGCA after the 2024-25 season.
This is the fourth consecutive season that a Cowgirl has earned CSC Academic All-District honors. Lee, Panya and Silchenko bring OSU's selection total to 17 since 2000.
