ST. GEORGE,UTAH - Oklahoma State's women's golf team carded a 639 total on the first day of action at the BYU at Entrada Classic to stand in 11th place at Entrada at Snow Canyon.
The Cowgirls' 63-over total over the two rounds put them seven shots behind Wyoming. San Diego State leads the event at 591.
BYU's Maggie Yuan carded rounds of 64 and 74 for a 6-under total and a three-shot lead. OSU sophomore Caroline Hedwall followed an opening 66 with an 80 and stands alone in fourth place at 146, 2-over par.
Freshman Courtney McKim posted rounds of 76 and 78 to stand in a tie for 20th place, while fellow freshman Hillary Wood came in tied for 40th place at 160 after rounds of 81 and 79.
Freshman Eyglo Oskarsdottir rounded out the lineup with scores of 89 and 90 for a 179 total, tying her for 73rd place.
The Cowgirls will close out the event tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. (PST) and will be grouped with Wyoming and Southern Utah.
