The Basics
The Oklahoma State's men's tennis team will look to improve to 4-0 as they take on the Saint Louis Billikens and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles in a doubleheader at the Greenwood Tennis Center on Monday. The Pokes are coming off a dominant showing in the season opener, defeating both Saint Joseph's and UT Rio Grande Valley in shutout efforts, 7-0. The Cowboys will go for their second 4-0 start in the Dustin Taylor Era.

What to Watch for

Oklahoma State men's tennis is a team on the rise and they will look to prove that with Saturday's start to the 2026 season. Head Coach Dustin Taylor brings a squad full of youthful energy represented across the globe. From Australia to Tulsa, the Cowboys have the junior experience to win now, while keeping the youth needed for the program to grow. Senior Alessio Basile headlines the group of returning Cowboys. Basile has been with the Cowboys for the entirety of the Taylor era and will become his first four-year player. The Belgium-native comes back to Stillwater with professional experience, taking on his first ATP event this fall in his home country.

As of January 7, the Cowboys checked in at No. 6 in the Big 12 Preseason Coaches Poll. Newcomer Charlie Valentine is the sole Cowboy featured in the ITA rankings, coming in at No. 92 in the post- NCAA Individual Tournament poll.

Series History
Oklahoma State and Saint Louis will matchup for just the third time in their program's long histories, with OSU going for their third overall win. 2025 was the last time the Billikens and Cowboys met up, with OSU defeating SLU, 7-0.
The Cowboys have a long history with in-state opponent Oral Roberts, with this matchup being the 31st edition. OSU holds a strong 25-5 record over the Golden Eagles and haven't dropped a match to them since 1973. The last time the two met, the Cowboys prevailed, 7-0 in 2024.
