Final Results Day One Recap

La Quinta, Calif. - The 27^th-ranked Oklahoma State women's golf team finished in sixth place at the Yale Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The temperature dropped around 10 degrees between day one and day two of competition, leading to higher scores for Tuesday's final round.

The Cowgirls finished the tournament with a total score of 3-over 867. The team finished two strokes ahead of fellow Big 12 member No. 30 Kansas State, while 15^th-ranked North Carolina claimed the team championship.

Ellie Bushnell was the sole Cowgirl to finish under par for the week, finishing in a tie for 16^th and 11 strokes back of the individual medalist, Kansas' Lauren Clark. Bushnell has now finished top 20 in six of her eight events she has played in this season.

Sophomore Marta Silchenko and junior Grace Kilcrease finished in 24^th for the week, while freshman Summer Lee shot a 2-over 74 to finish in the top 40. Fellow freshman Tarapath Panya had the strongest round of the day for the Cowgirls, going under par with a 71. She rattled off five birdies in her first six holes of the day.

The lone individual for the Cowgirls, freshman Lucy Darr, finished 5-over for the week and finished in 34^th following a 4-over, 76 on Tuesday

The Cowgirls return to action in 13 days for the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas, on March 24-25.
