Cowgirls return to Fort Worth for Charles Schwab Invitational

STILLWATERÂ - The 28th-ranked Oklahoma State women's golf team heads down south for the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Cowgirls will tee off at the 89-year-old Colonial Country Club. The par 72, 6,092-yard layout also plays host to the Charles Schwab Challenge, a PGA tour event. High temperatures will climb from 81 degree on Monday to 90 and sunny for Tuesday's final round.

The 15-team field will compete in 54 holes of stroke play. The Cowgirls are paired with Mississippi State and, fellow Big 12-member, Arizona for the first day of competition, which consists of 36 holes, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start.

· This week's lineup features a blend of veterans and newcomers. Two freshmen will compete with the orange and black, while the top half of the lineup boasts a combined eight-years of collegiate golf experience.

· Veteran Grace Kilcrease has posted six top 10 finishes this season, highlighted by a first-place showing at last fall's Carmel Cup. She has the team's lowest stroke average at 71.52, helped by six rounds in the 60s.
· Sophomore Marta Silchenko sat out the fall season due to injury but placed third in her season debut at last month's Texas State Invitational and followed it up with a tie for 30th at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational.

· Ellie Bushnell has had the strongest start to the spring campaign for the Cowgirls with back-to-back ties for 13th at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational and the FAU Paradise Invitational. She has been in the lineup for every tournament this season and posted top-20 finishes in six of the eight events.

· Freshman Summer Lee is looking to build off on an individual win at the Texas State Invitational – the first by an OSU freshman since 2020.
