Grace Kilcrease wins Carmel Cup, Cowgirls finish fifth

Pebble Beach, Calif. – Making her debut for the Oklahoma State women's golf team, Grace Kilcrease won the individual title at the Carmel Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Kilcrease fired another stellar round, this time shooting a 69. The round consisted of six birdies with four coming on the final nine. She finished one stroke ahead of Arkansas' Maria Jose Marin.
The Cowgirl becomes the 104th individual champion in program history, with the last individual title coming courtesy of Maddison Hinson-Tolchard at the 2022 Big 12 Championship. This is the junior transfer from Tulsa's first-ever collegiate tournament victory.
As a team, OSU finished fifth, shooting a final round score of 375. They outperformed the two other Big 12 schools, TCU and Texas Tech, as well as Oklahoma, who they'll meet again at the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman in late September. They landed 26 strokes behind team champion Vanderbilt.
Sophomore Ellie Bushnell finished the tournament with a solid round of 72. Summer Lee closed out her first-ever collegiate tournament with an eagle on hole six. Sammie Miller and Thitaporn Saithip finished with a 77 and 79, respectively, while Freshman Lucy Darr shot a 79.
The Cowgirls will be back in action for the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman on Sep. 21.
