Cowgirl Golf Ready for Weekend in Norman
September 20, 2024 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State's women's golf team returns to action this Saturday at the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman.
The par 70, 6,188-yard Belmar Golf Club will host the tournament. Belmar's native grasses and significant elevation changes make the course challenging for all levels of golfers.
Starting on Saturday and continuing throughout the weekend, the three-day tournament will consist of 54-hole stroke play, with an 18-hole round each day. Each of the 16 teams will bring five golfers, and the top four scores will count towards each day's score.

Leading by Example
Grace Kilcrease headlines the lineup for the Cowgirls. Coming off her first collegiate win at the Carmel Cup, she looks to carry the momentum into Norman. At Pebble Beach, she tallied 17 birdies and shot 7-under for the three-day tournament on her way to becoming the 104th individual champion in Cowgirl Golf history.
Junior Thitaporn Saithip is playing in her third straight Schooner Fall Classic. In 2022, she shot a 209 for the tournament and took home a top-15 finish.
Youthful Pokes
To go along with the experience that Kilcrease provides, the Pokes will be rolling out a youthful lineup for the tournament.
Two freshmen headline the group, Lucy Darr and Rylee Roberts. Darr is coming off her Cowgirl Golf debut at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach, where she tallied a 75 in round two. As for Roberts, she will be making her first career collegiate start, the third Cowgirl to do so this year, joining Darr and Summer Lee.
Sophomore Ellie Bushnell is another young star, coming off a 2023-24 campaign where she started every tournament as a freshman, the first OSU golfer to do so since 2017-18. She started off her season at Pebble Beach with a 12th place finish.
Freshman Lee and sophomore Sammie Miller will compete as individuals, giving two more underclassmen valuable experience in tournament play.
