Stillwater, Okla. - Oklahoma State's 26th-ranked men's tennis team saw its undefeated run at home come to an end on Friday evening with a 4-1 setback against sixth-ranked Texas at the Greenwood Tennis Center.

The Longhorns put themselves on the board early in doubles action. On court one, Matej Vocel and Emile Hudd put in the work only to fall to Eliot Spizzirri and Siem Woldeab of Texas, 6-2. Texas took court two with Mathieu Scaglia and Maxim Tybar losing to Chih Chi Huang and Cleeve Harper, 6-2. Although court three went unfinished, Henrik Korsgaard and Etienne Donnet were leading Micah Braswell and Jacob Bullard, 4-3, when play was called.

The Cowboys continued to battle in singles action with all but two courts seeing tiebreakers on the night. OSU took an early lead in singles, Matej Vocel took his first set, 6-3, on court one and finished off his singles point, 6-3, in the second set putting the Cowboys on the board 1-1.

Etienne Donnet was the next to finish, battling but ultimately falling to Chih Chi Huang, 7-5, 7-6, on court five. Court four was the next to finish in favor of the Longhorns, but Mathieu Scaglia did not go quietly. After going into a tiebreaker in the first set, court four was ultimately taken by Cleeve Harper 7-6 (7), 6-3. Texas clinched court five to secure the win with Henrik Korsgaard falling to Micah Braswell, 7-5, 7-6 (5).

The remaining courts would go unfinished. Emile Hudd was leading in his third set over Siem Woldeab, 6-4, 3-6, 4-3, before the match was called. On court six, Matisse Bobichon and Evin McDonald were stopped at 6-4, 6-7 (6), 1-3.

The Pokes will be back home to host Memphis on March 9 at 5 p.m.
