Five Cowboys Take Part In Qualifying Draw Of ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – The qualifying draw of the ITA All-American Championships began on Monday, and five combined Cowboys competed in both singles and doubles play of the tournament.

Dominik Kellovsky began play for the Cowboys in singles with a win over James Davis of Denver, 6-3, 6-2. Kellovsky was followed by Emile Hudd, who was victorious his match against Tennessee's Scott Jones, 6-4, 6-3.

Both Cowboys' doubles team lost in their respective matches on Monday. Mathieu Scaglia and Emile Hudd lost to Georgia's duo of Blake Croyder and Philip Henning, 6-3, 6-1. Brady Draheim and Luke Hammond fell to Virginia Tech's Henrik Korsgaard and Brandon Perez, 7-6(3), 4-6, 10-7.

Hudd will face Jackie Tang of Columbia on Tuesday; Tang defeated Joel Gamerov of San Diego in his first-round match. Kellovsky will take on Nathan Ponwith of Arizona State who defeated William Howell of Notre Dame in his first-round match.
