Bailey Fires 1-Under to Lead Cowgirls in Windy City Final Round

CHICAGO – Lianna Bailey carded a 1-under par 71 to lead the Oklahoma State women's golf team in the final round of the Windy City Collegiate Championship.
The sophomore was 3-under in the final 11 holes to match her low round of the season. Bailey finished the event at 5-over 221 and in a tie for 40th place.
As a team, the No. 23 Cowgirls battled a field filled with nine other top-30 squads to finish ninth with rounds of 292-292-293 (+13) 877. OSU finished on top of Big 12 foe Iowa State, as well as Ohio State, Northwestern, Augusta and Michigan.
At 14-under par, No. 22 South Carolina took top honors with a three-stroke victory over No. 7 Southern California. Gamecock freshman Pauline Roussin-Bouchard won individual medalist honors after finishing at 11-under 205.
Cowgirl freshman Isabella Fierro once again notched OSU's top finish with a tie for 19th place. Fierro shot 74-70-73 (+1) 217 and has now registered four rounds at or under par after just two events.
Han-Hsuan Yu finished in a tie for 29th after a final round 77, while Hailey Jones posted her best score of the week, a 1-over 73, to move into a tie for 42nd place. Emma Whitaker finished in a tie for 57th place.
Oklahoma State will return to action on Oct. 12-13 at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Classic in Austin, Texas. This will be OSU 28th appearance at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Classic, but its first since 2011. The Cowgirls are two time winners of the event after claiming titles in 2003 and 1987.
