Cowgirl Golf Bound For The Windy City

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's golf team is heading to Wilmette, Illinois to play in the 11th Annual Windy City Collegiate Classic.
Like the season-opening ANNIKA Invitational, the Windy City Collegiate Classic will feature a top-notch field. There will be nine top-25 ranked teams playing at the Westmoreland Country Club, four of which are in the top 10.
The starting lineup will include sophomore Stephanie Astrup, who equaled her career low round of 70 at the ANNIKA Invitational, followed by Chih-Min Chen, Michelle Forsland, Emma Whitaker and Faith Hopkins
Last year, the Cowgirls finished second overall at the Windy City after carding rounds of 282-278-296 (+4) 856. Cowgirl Maddie McCray won her first collegiate event by shooting 70-68-69 (-6) 207.
This is the Cowgirls' eighth straight appearance at the Windy City. The last time the Cowgirls claimed a win at the Windy City was in 2011, led by Kelsey Vines who tied for first that year.
