• Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will play its lone exhibition contest of the 2017-18 campaign on Sunday when it hosts East Central at 5 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. Admission for the game is free.
• The Cowgirls will get their regular season underway on Nov. 10 when they host Incarnate Word at 11 a.m.
• Eight of OSU's nine exhibition contests under head coach Jim Littell have come against in-state schools.
• The contest will mark the third time OSU has played an exhibition contest in the month of October. The Cowgirls hosted East Central on Oct. 29, 2013 and Southeastern Oklahoma State on Oct. 30 last year.
• The contest will mark the first in a Cowgirl uniform for six players with Katarina Adamovic, Braxtin Miller, Abbie Winchester, Maria Castro, Loryn Goodwin and Clitan de Sousa potentially seeing their first action for OSU.
• The game will mark the first for Jaden Hobbs since the redshirt freshman suffered a season-ending injury in OSU's Oct. 30 exhibition game last year.
OSU In Exhibition Play
• After its 97-42 win over Southeastern Oklahoma State on Oct. 30, 2016, the Cowgirls have won 21 consecutive exhibition contests.
• The Cowgirls' last exhibition loss came on Nov. 14, 2003 against Northwest Sports.
• OSU is 8-0 in exhibition play under the direction of head coach Jim Littell.
OSU vs. ECU... The Series
• OSU and East Central have met six times in exhibition action with the Cowgirls prevailing each time.
• Four of those six meetings took place under former head coach Kurt Budke.
• The first meeting took place in 2006 and was followed by contests in 2007 and 2008. Under Budke's direction, OSU also hosted the Tigers in 2010.
• Head coach Jim Littell's first encounter with ECU came in 2013, an 87-56 win, before notching a 122-49 victory in 2015.
Last Time Out
• The Cowgirls saw their string of 55 non-league home games in a row come to an end with a first-round WNIT loss against Abilene Christian.
• The setback was OSU's first at home outside of league play since a 2010 loss to Duke.
• With the loss, OSU fell to 11-5 all time in WNIT action.
