Lawrence, Kan. ---- A Jeff Newberry second-half run wasn't enough in Oklahoma State's 94-67 loss to Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse on Monday.
Â
Newberry went on to finish with 19 points, 15 of which came in the second half.
His layup midway through the second half led to an eventual 7-0 run by the senior that cut the Kansas lead to 57-49 with 14:04 remaining.
Jeffrey Carroll stepped to the line with 11:14 left and made both free throws to cut the deficit to 62-56 but the Jayhawks made key shots down the stretch to hold on for the eventual win.
The first half couldn't have started much better for the Cowboys. A Mitchell Solomon three got Oklahoma State on the board first and led to an eventual 10-3 run that was capped off with a Solomon dunk.

Later in the half, a Tavarius Shine three off a Tyree Griffin assist gave the Cowboys their biggest lead of the night at 23-14 with 9:47 left in the half.
Kansas would end the half on a run and led 47-34 at halftime.
