2015-16 (OSU Senior season)
• Named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 Conference.
• Only Cowboy to start every game in 2015-16.
• OSU's second leading rebounder at 4.7 boards per game.
• With two double-doubles, Newberry is the first OSU player under 6-2 with multiple points/rebounds double-doubles since Maurice Baker in 2001.
• In Big 12 play, Newberry ranked third in the league with 1.78 steals per contest.
• Shot 82.4 percent from the free throw line, which ranked fourth among all Big 12 players who made at least 2.5 per game.
• Scored a career-high 23 points in the win over TCU in the Big 12 opener.
• Reached double-digits 17 times as a senior and 28 times for his career at OSU.
• Also averaged 1.5 assists per game, which trailed only Jawun Evans and Tyree Griffin at OSU.
• Posted 20 points in the Charleston Classic against George Mason.
• In his 50th game as a Cowboy, Newberry scored 13 points in an upset win over No. 3 Kansas at home.
• Recorded the second double-double of his career in a win over Kansas State with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
• Posted 13 points and a career-high 12 boards against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
• Made a career-high five 3-pointers at Oklahoma, ending with 19 points.
2014-15 (OSU Junior season)
• Unstoppable two-game stretch near the season’s end (at West Virginian and against Oklahoma at the Big 12 Tournament) featured 16.5 points per game on 12-of-19 shooting (63.1 percent), including 5-of-11 from deep (45.5 percent) and 4-of-4 from the stripe.
• Poured in 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game overall as a junior.
• Ranked fourth at OSU, and second among all returners for 2015-16, with 45 assists.
• Started 20 games and was one of just six players to see action in every game.
• Earned the start in 20 of the year’s final 21 games (Only late-season appearance off the bench was senior day).
• Scored a career-best 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting at West Virginia in the regular-season finale.
• Scored 16 points and dished out a career-high six assists in OSU’s win over Baylor in Waco.
• Second only at OSU to Phil Forte in free throw shooting accuracy (80.7 percent).
• Reached double figures in scoring 11 times, including eight in Big 12 play.
• Tallied nine multi-steal games, and posted 29 steals overall on the year.
• Had four outings with at least four assists and closed his junior campaign with 45 dimes. In fact, he led the team in assists on nine occasions.
2013-14 (New Mexico JC Sophomore season)
• Played and started 32 games for the New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds.
• Averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game.
• Shot 46.6 percent from the floor and 83.5 percent from the free-throw line.
• Was an NJCAA honorable mention All-American.
• Was named first-team NJCAA All-Region V and first-team All-Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
• Led his team to the second round of the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan.
• Scored a career-high 31 points against Odessa College (Nov. 12) and matched that against Indian Hills Community College in his final juco game.
• Was 8-of-10 from the floor and 15-of-16 from the charity stripe against Indian Hills.
• Had 22 double-figure scoring games, including four 20-point contests.
• Recorded a season-high nine assists with no turnovers against Temple College (March 5).
• Had 11 games with five or more assists.
• Grabbed a career-high five steals against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in the first round of the NJCAA Tournament.
• Prior to signing with OSU, he was ranked as the top point-guard prospect and the second-best overall player in the juco ranks according to Jerry Meyer.
• Chose the Cowboys over UConn and Texas Tech, along with offers from LSU, Rhode Island, Texas A&M and Virginia.
2012-13 (NEO Redshirt Freshman season)
• Played in 29 games and started 27 for the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Norsemen.
• Averaged 14.8 points, 4.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
• Shot 44.8 percent from the field and 73.2 percent from the free-throw line.
• Was an NJCAA All-Region II selection.
• Scored a season-high 28 against Connors State (Jan. 8), one of 10 20-point games during the season.
• Finished with 22 double-figure scoring games, including 12 straight to end the season.
• Recorded a career-high 10 assists (one turnover) at Central Methodist (Nov. 14) and matched it at Eastern Oklahoma State College (Feb. 25) with no turnovers.
• Had 10 games with six or more assists.
• In the game at Eastern, he also scored 24 points, giving him a double-double in points and assists.
• Grabbed a career-high nine rebounds vs Western Oklahoma State College (Nov. 29); also had 23 points and six assists.
• Had five steals vs Seminole State (Jan. 24).
2011-12 (Ole Miss Freshman season)
• Redshirted his true freshman season at Ole Miss.
High School
• Was an All-State selection for Westlake High School in Atlanta.
• Averaged 18 points, six rebounds and five assists and three steals as a senior in 2010-11.
• Received first-team All-Region and All-State honors as a senior.
• First-team All-Region 4 in Class 5A as a junior.
Personal
• Born Sept. 22, 1992, Jeff is the son of Janice and Jeff Newberry. He has three older sisters: Shondra, DeJuana and Brittani. Jeff is majoring in university studies at Oklahoma State.
