Tyree Griffin earned his 10th start of the season at point guard and posted a career-high 12 assists on the night. That tally is tied for the 19th best performance in school history, and are the most by any Cowboys since John Lucas had 13 against SMU in 2004. It also ties for the most ever by an OSU sophomore (Doug Gottlieb twice, last vs Baylor in 1998).
The loss to the Jayhawks snapped Oklahoma State's two-game win streak in the series. The Jayhawks now lead the overall series, 111-57, including a 60-12 edge in Lawrence.
Oklahoma State is the only team to beat Kansas in each of the last four seasons, and Travis Ford is the only current Big 12 head coach to win in Allen Fieldhouse.
