The other events start on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the high jump and other field events. As for the running events, the mile kicks things off at 3:30 p.m., and the whole meet wraps up with the 4X400-meter relays, though there is no precise time listed.
LAST TIME OUT
At the A&M Team Invitational in College Station, Cowboy All-American John Teeters picked up where he left off last year's indoor season by winning the 60-meter dash final in 6.60 seconds. Teeters had the top-time of 6.62 coming out of the preliminary round and defeated TCU's Ronnie Baker and Texas youngster Senoj-Jay Givens in the final to take the win. Teeters was joined in the final by Cowboy freshman Malik Givens who finished sixth in 6.84 seconds.
Jacob Fincham-Dukes made his way into OSU's record book in just his second competition as a Cowboy after finishing third in the long jump competition. The British international jumped a 7.09m/23-3.25 to grab No. six on the all-time indoor list.
Vegard Oelstad started 2016 strong in the 3,000-meter final. His time of 8:15.18 was good enough for third place in the competition.
Big 12 Cross Country Newcomer of the Year, Josh Thompson, won his debut indoor race for the Cowboys by running a 4:10.59 in the mile final, edging out BYU's Karson Fronk by four-hundredths of a second. Freshman Miles Yapp, who won the 1,000-meter run at the KSU Winter Invitational back in December, finished 17th and Bradley Johnson finished a spot ahead.
Kaela Edwards and Molly Sughroue ran in the 800-meter final for their first race of the season. Edwards' 2:03.60 was enough to take the win in the event and Sughroue's 2:08.72 got her third. Edwards' time was one-hundredth of a second off her indoor personal best that she ran at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships.
All-American Chase Ealey wrapped up the day with a win in her first shot put competition of the season. Her throw of 16.22m/53-2.75 would be the second-best throw in school history if she did not currently hold the record with a throw of 16.71m/54-10.0 from a season ago.
As a team, the Cowboys finished sixth and the Cowgirls finished seventh at the A&M Invitational.
A LOOK BACK
The OSU Throwers were on display at last year's DeLoss Dodds Invitational in Manhattan, Kansas, claiming five top-five finishes.
Itamar Levi won the shot put competition on the men's side and Chase Ealey took it on the women's side by setting what was then a Cowgirl record and a personal best. Ealey was joined in the competition by Ieva Zarankaite who finished in third.
Levi then took second in the weight throw and Katie Kehl did the same for the Cowgirls.
Two-time Big 12 Champion Viktoriia Sadokhina won the triple jump competition and took second in the long jump. Four other Cowgirls grabbed top-10 finishes in the long jump, as Brittney Reid took third, Lindy Pasley finished fifth and Keely Brown and Jasmine Adams took sixth and seventh.
Brigham Hedges, Luis Martinez and Tyler Jackson all came away with wins for the Cowboys in the running events. Hedges took the mile win, Martinez outran teammate Vegard Oelstad for the 1000-meter crown and Jackson took the 600.
Both teams beat Tulsa in terms of dual results, but Kansas State took the dual besting both teams.Â
COWBOYS ON BOWERMAN LIST
For the first time since 2009, Oklahoma State is represented on the Bowerman Award preseason watch list as Cowboy seniors Chad Noelle and Nick Miller have both received a spot on the prestigious list of 10.
"It's really exciting for our program to have two guys on the list," coach Dave Smith said. "Both of them are among the best athletes in the NCAA, so it's good to see them recognized. They've worked extremely hard since arriving at OSU to get to the level they're on."
With Noelle and Miller representing the Pokes on the list, OSU joins Oregon as the only program with more than one nominated male athlete.
Back in 2014, Miller was a late season addition to the watch list during the outdoor season, but did not receive votes to start the year and did not make the list of three finalists.
Miller is fresh off a summer of international competition that included European and national titles.
The six-time All-American and six-time Big 12 champion won the Under-23 European hammer throw title in mid-July before taking gold in the British hammer throw championship with a then personal best of 75.88m. He went on to represent his nation at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing. Miller made the final, and finished 11th, but qualified for the competition with a personal best 77.42m throw, which was good enough for the 14th best throw in the world in 2015.Â
After redshirting last outdoor season to focus on international competition, Miller will be back with the Cowboys this upcoming outdoor season looking to secure his first NCAA title. At his last outdoor championships in 2014, Miller just missed out on 10 points when he finished second with a throw of 72.40m, a little more than a meter short of the champion.
Miller holds OSU's hammer and weight throw records and has widened the gap between the No. 2 throws in each season of competition.
Noelle earned the nomination after completing one of the most successful seasons in OSU history during his senior outdoor campaign. The middle-distance specialist swept his way into the NCAA Championships, then became just the 10th Cowboy in school history to win a national title. Noelle's 3:54.96 in the 1,500-meter championship race was enough to make him the first Cowboy national champion since German Fernandez took the same crown in 2009.
His successful 2015 season started indoors where he won two Big 12 indoor titles on his way to scoring 23 points for the Cowboys at the conference championships. Noelle entered the season with the school record in the 1,000-meter run, but performed his way onto two more lists, running the 10th-fastest 3,000-meter run (7:56.76) and second-best mile (3:57.78) in Cowboy history.

ALL-AMERICANS IN FORM EARLY
The 2016 indoor season is still young, but the time of year hasn't stopped the OSU All-Americans from putting up top-10 NCAA marks.
Two-time All American and school record holder John Teeters dashed his way into the NCAA top-five with his performance at the Texas A&M Invitational in mid-January. Teeters won the 60-meter dash competition in 6.60 seconds, topping two other All-Americans from a season ago in the process.Â
With his time, Teeters owns the third best mark in the NCAA so far, trailing Tennessee's Christian Coleman and Cameron Burrell of Houston.Â
Kaela Edwards started her 2016 season with a near personal best that also got her the top-time in the NCAA thus far. She won the 800-meter run at the Texas A&M Invitational in 2:03.60 and setting a meet record as well.Â
