Cowgirls Fifth At ANNIKA Intercollegiate

The Cowgirls finished the day knotted at 1-under with Southern California at the par-72, 6,247-yard layout. Arizona grabbed the top spot on the leaderboard at 8-under 280.
Arizona's Wanasa Zhou and South Carolina's Justine Dreher each posted 4-under 68s to share the individual lead.
Sophomore Linnea Johansson fired a 2-under 70 to lead the Cowgirl starting five. She came in tied for fifth place. Starting her day on the back nine, Johansson put together a bogey-free side that featured a pair of birdies to turn at 2-under 34. She moved to 4-under for the day with birdies at the third and fourth before carding bogeys at the sixth and ninth for an even-par inward nine.
Freshmen Alexis Sadeghy and Maddie McCrary also finished under par of the day, posting 1-under 71s to come in tied for 11th place.
Sophomore Isabella Deilert's 75 tied her for 40th place, while freshman Kenzie Neisen carded a 76 to finish tied for 47th place.
The Cowgirls will begin their second round tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Northwestern and Southern California. Live scoring for the event is available at golfstat.com.
