Cowgirls Tied For Fifth In New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team opened its fall campaign on Monday at the rain-delayed Dick McGuire Invitational at the UNM Championship Course.
Scheduled for 36 holes on Monday, the 16-team field was called off the course due to inclement weather with up to six holes remaining. The Cowgirls completed 12 to 15 holes during their second round and stand in a tie for fifth place with Gonzaga.
OSU opened with a 299 during its first round and was 5-over par during its second round. The Cowgirls will resume play at 12-over for the event.
Junior Julie Yang led the way with a 1-over 74 and is 2-under through 15 holes during her second round to stand in a tie for fifth place.
Sophomore Linnea Johansson opened with a 72 and finished the day tied for 12th after playing her first 15 holes of the afternoon session 2-over par.
Freshman Kenzie Neisen carded a 74 and stood at 4-over through 15 holes to come in tied for 30th place.
Classmate Maddie McCrary stands in a tie for 46th place after an opening 79. She completed 12 holes and was 1-over during her second round.
Freshman Alexis Sadeghy opened with an 80 and is 8-over through 15 holes, tying her for 80th place.
Play is set to resume at 8:45 a.m. (CST).
