Cowgirls 16th At Northrop Grumman

PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team opened play at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Sunday with a 308 team score to finish the day in 16th place at Palos Verdes Golf Club.
The Cowgirls' 24-over total put them a shot behind Texas at the par-71, 6,017-yard layout. Baylor grabbed the team lead with a 2-over 286 to stand two shots ahead of Southern California.
USC did produce the day's individual leader in Annie Park, who carded a 4-under 67 to come in a shot clear of the field.
OSU freshman Isabella Deilert posted the squad's low round with a 76 to come in tied for 41st place.
Sophomore Julie Yang and senior Jayde Panos each posted 77s to finish tied for 54th place.
Senior Lauren Falley came in tied for 68th place with a 78, while classmate Amy Ruengmateekhun's 79 tied her for 76th place.
The Cowgirls will begin their second round tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. (PST).
