Cowgirls Finish Sixth At Bruin Wave Invite

TARZANA, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team finished sixth at the Bruin Wave Invitational after posting a 315 during the third round of play on Tuesday at El Caballero Country Club.
The Cowgirls, who played the event without the nation's top-ranked player in Kelsey Vines, finished at 67-over 931 to come in seven shots off the pace of Oregon State. Southern California erased an eight-shot deficit to overtake UCLA in the team race. USC finished at 884 and two shots clear of the Bruins at the par-72, 6,131-yard layout.
USC also produced the event's individual medalist in Annie Park, who carded a closing 71 to finish at 215 and four shots clear of the field.
Josephine Janson led the starting five for OSU, finishing with a 79 to tie for 21st place at 230.
Freshman Julie Yang came in a stroke back of her teammate at 231 after signing for an 80 to tie for 23rd place.
Also finishing at 231 was junior Jayde Panos, who closed with a 78.
Freshman Megan Blonien posted her low round of the event with a 78 to tie for 52nd place at 244.
Junior Lauren Falley's 80 tied her for 54th place at 245.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on March 15 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
