Cowgirls In Third After Day Two In Norman

NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 296 during its second round on Sunday at the Schooner Fall Classic to slip into third place at Belmar Golf Club.
The Cowgirls entered the day tied for first place with Arizona State at the par-70, 6,082-yard layout. Through 36 holes, OSU stands at 29-over 589 and one shot behind ASU. LSU moved into first place after carding a 291 to stand at 586.
LSU's Caroline Nistrup fired a 5-under 65 to rise to the top of the individual leaderboard with a 2-under 138 total.
OSU senior Jayde Panos followed an opening 67 with a 73 to slip from the top spot into a tie for second place at even-par 140.
Freshman Isabella Deilert's 73 gave her a 148 total and moved her into a tie for 16th, while classmate Casie Cathrea rallied after an opening 77 with the squad's low score of the day, a 72, to stand at 149 and tied for 22nd place.
Senior Amy Ruengmateekhun posted a 78 to finish tied for 48th place at 155.
Senior Lauren Falley's 83 tied her for 56th place at 157.
The Cowgirls will close out the event tomorrow when they begin their final round at 9:50 a.m. OSU will be grouped with LSU and Arizona State.
