Cowgirls In Eighth At Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team opened play on Friday at the Landfall Tradition with a 19-over 307 score to come in tied for eighth place at the Country Club of Landfall.
The Cowgirls finished their first round knotted with Clemson and a stroke behind Virginia and Wake Forest for sixth place at the par-72, 6,244-yard layout. Alabama built a 10-shot lead after posting a 3-under 285, while Duke held down the runner-up spot at 295.
Alabama's Stephanie Meadow grabbed the individual lead after posting a 70 to finish a shot clear of a quartet of players.
OSU freshman Isabella Deilert opened with a 74 to finish the day tied for 10th, while sophomore Julie Yang came in a stroke back with a 75 and tied for 19th place.
Seniors Jayde Panos and Lauren Falley each carded 79s to come in tied for 47th place. Senior Amy Ruengmateekhun rounded out the starting five with an 89 to finish in 94th place.
The Cowgirls will begin their second round tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Wake Forest and Clemson.
