Cowgirls Finish 12th In Arizona

TEMPE, Ariz. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 306 during its third round on the way to a 12th-place finish at the Ping/ASU Invitational on Sunday at the Karsten Golf Course.
The Cowgirls finished the event with a 910 total, 46-over par, and two shots behind San Diego State at the par-72, 6,230-yard layout. UCLA finished as the only team under par, closing with a 298 to finish at 1-under 863 and four shots ahead of Southern California.
USC's Sophia Popov posted a 71 during her final round to grab medalist honors with a 211 total.
OSU freshman Jayde Panos fired a 2-under 70 to come in at 222 and tied for 23rd place. Panos started her day on the back nine and made the turn with an even-par 37 after posting a birdie at the 13th to go with a bogey three holes later. She got to 3-under for the day with birdies at Nos. 1, 2 and 6 before closing with a bogey at the ninth to come in at 2-under par.
Sophomore Hillary Wood's closing 80 tied her for 54th place at 230, while junior Jocelyn Alford finished with an 82 to tie for 64th place at 232.
Freshman Josephine Janson posted a 78 to tie for 66th place at 233 and classmate Lauren Falley's matching 78 tied her for 72nd place at 234.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on April 22 when they travel to Columbia, Mo., for the Big 12 Championship.
