Cowgirl Golf ends season at No. 13 in NCAA Rankings

STILLWATER – The NCAA released its final Division I Women's Golf Rankings of the 2025-26 season, with Oklahoma State claiming the No. 13 spot and Marta Silchenko landing at No. 16 individually.

Oklahoma State has appeared in the top 25 of each of the last 20 polls released and in 30 of the 39 total updates this season.

The ranking comes two days after OSU concluded its season in the NCAA Championship match play quarterfinals. This marked the first time since 2021 that the Cowgirls advanced to match play, and their sixth-place finish after stroke play tied for the seventh-best placement at the national championship in program history.

Oklahoma State will end the year as the Big 12's highest-ranked team. The Cowgirls lead No. 14 Iowa State, No. 19 Arizona State and No. 20 UCF among the conference's quartet of top-25-ranked programs.

Standout junior Marta Silchenko is Oklahoma State's highest-ranked golfer, breaking into the top 20 for the first time in her career to claim the No. 16 spot. A career-high for Silchenko, this marks the highest end-of-season ranking by a Cowgirl in the Scoreboard by Clipp'd rankings era (est. 2023).

Silchenko put together one of the most dominant seasons in Cowgirl Golf history, finishing with two wins, top-10 finishes in nine of her 11 events, and an 812-92-27 (.887%) head-to-head record.

Silchenko carries a streak of seven consecutive top-10 finishes into the 2026-27 season. She is just one short of tying program record-holder Caroline Hedwall's all-time OSU best. Silchenko's 70.96 (-0.3) stroke average this season is the third-lowest single-season mark in program history, and her 20 rounds at par-or-better left her just two short of tying Caroline Hedwall's single-season OSU record.

Fellow junior Ellie Bushnell is the team's second-highest-ranked golfer, checking in at No. 64. A team-best 6-under showing led Bushnell to a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championship and earned her a 61-spot jump up the rankings this week.

Bushnell concluded the 2025-26 season with 133 birdies, just six short of matching Maja Stark's single-season program record. Now with 316 career birdies, the Granite Bay, California, native enters her senior season 82 away from breaking Pernilla Lindberg's Cowgirl Golf career record.

True freshman Yu-Chu Chen (No. 121) and graduating senior Grace Kilcrease (No. 188) make it four Cowgirls in the top 200.

Chen opened her Cowgirl career with a formidable 73.26 (+1.8) stroke average, three top-10 finishes, and 11 rounds at par-or-better across 10 events and 32 rounds.

Close behind is the Cowgirls' trio of sophomores, as Summer Lee (265), Tarapath Panya (310) and Lucy Darr (315) rounded out Oklahoma State's list of seven nationally-ranked golfers.

Panya's ranking is a 29-spot improvement from her end-of-season ranking last year, while Darr made a 156-spot move of her own.
