Cowgirl Golf Holds Second Place In Utah

ST, GEORGE, Utah - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 616 team total on Monday during the first day of action at the BYU Entrada Classic to stand in second place at Entrada at Snow Canyon.
The Cowgirls' 40-over, 36-hole total put them just one shot off the pace of Wisconsin heading into tomorrow's final round at the 6,216-yard, par-72 layout.
New Mexico State's Demi Mak fired a pair of 74s to hold the individual lead at 4-over 148 total.
OSU's Jayde Panos followed an opening 77 with a 74 to stand in a tie for fourth place at 151. During her second round, the freshman went out in 1-over 37, including a birdie at the seventh before coming in with a matching 37 on her inward nine. Panos posted birdies at the 13th and the 16th to offset a double bogey at the 15th.
Joining Panos in the top 10 was junior Jocelyn Alford, who finished the day tied for eighth place after carding rounds of 79 and 73 to stand at 152.
Sophomore Hillary Wood carded rounds of 80 and 77 to finish at 157 and tied for 23rd place, while freshman Lauren Falley followed a 75 with an 86 to come in at 161 and tied for 39th.
Freshman Josephine Janson finished the day tied for 65th place with a 169 total after signing for a 75 and a 94.
Competing individually, Eyglo Oskarsdottir stands in a tie for 32nd place at 159 after posting rounds of 78 and 81.
The Cowgirls will begin their final round at 8:30 a.m. (PST) and will be grouped with Wisconsin and Texas State.
