Cowgirls Finish 13th At Wildcat Invite

TUCSON, Ariz. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team wrapped up its first event of the spring on Tuesday, finishing 13th at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational at The Golf Club at Vistoso.
The Cowgirls finished the event with a 328 third round to finish at 80-over total of 944. OSU's total came in nine shots behind Idaho and nine shots clear of Northern Arizona. Tournament host Arizona posted a 303 during its final round to win the event with an 875 total. The Wildcats finished eleven shots ahead of California and 20 shots ahead of Arizona State.
Arizona made it a clean sweep, producing the individual medalist with Isabelle Boineau finishing two shots clear of the field at 4-under 212.
Junior Jocelyn Alford was OSU's top finisher, tying for 40th place at 233 after posting an 83.
Playing in her first collegiate event, newcomer Jayde Panos closed with an 84 to come in tied for 44th place at 234, while freshman Josephine Janson's 83 tied her for 55th at 238.
Sophomore Hillary Wood finished at 243 and tied for 68th place after closing with an 82.
Freshman Jade Staggs posted an 80 and finished tied for 70th at 244.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Feb. 13 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
