Cowgirls In 13th At Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 293 team total during its first round at the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship to stand in 13th place at Vanderbilt's Legends Club.
The Cowgirls' 5-over total was four shots behind tournament host Vanderbilt and North Carolina for 11th. LSU fired a 10-under 278 to open one stroke better than Purdue and California in the team standings.
Wake Forest's Michelle Shin fired a 7-under 65 to grab a two-shot advantage over the field.
OSU sophomore Courtney McKim carded the low round of her collegiate career, firing a 3-under 69 to stand in a tie for 10th place. Starting on the back nine, the Raleigh, North Carolina native made her lone bogey of the day at the 11th before reeling off three birdies to make the turn at 2-under 24. McKim started her inward nine with six-straight pars before tacking on a birdie at the seventh to post the first sub-70 round of her career.
Sophomore Victoria Park also carded a round under par with a 2-under 70 that included an impressive front nine. Park bogeyed three of her first six holes on the day before making her lone birdie on her first nine at the 18th. The Irvine, Calif., native rallied with birdies at Nos. 3,4, 7 and 8 to post an inward nine of 4-under 32 and finish the day tied for 17th place.
Jocelyn Alford was one of two players making their OSU debut on Friday. The junior posted a 76 to stand in a tie for 68th place. Freshman Josephine Janson opened her Cowgirl career with a 78 to finish in a tie for 79th place, while sophomore Hillary Wood carded a 79 to stand in a tie for 85th place.
The Cowgirls will begin their second round tomorrow at 8:53 a.m. (CST) and will be grouped with Auburn and Texas.
