Cowgirl Golf In 13th At Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 303 during its second round to move into 13th place on Saturday at The Landfall Tradition at Country Club of Landfall.
The Cowgirls finished the day two shots behind North Carolina State and five shots out of the top 10 at the par-72, 6,244-yard layout. Duke posted a 4-under 284 to hold the top spot in the team standings at 1-under 575 and five shots ahead of UCLA and North Carolina.
Virginia's Brittany Altomare fired a 68 during her second round to stand at 5-under 139, giving her a one-shot lead over Duke's Lindy Duncan.
OSU sophomore Victoria Park fired a 68 for the squad's low round of the day. The Irvine, Calif., native started her round on the back nine, carding eight-straight pars before posting a bogey at the par-5 18th. Park moved back to level par with her lone bogey of the day at the first before reeling off birdies on four of her final seven holes to get to 4-under for her round.
Park's 149 total put her in the group tied for 24th place. Among those at 149 was junior Jocelyn Alford, who signed for a 75 on Saturday.
Freshman Josephine Janson carded a 76 to stand at 155 and tied for 54th, while classmate Jade Staggs' 84 gave her a 162 total and 76th place.
Sophomore Hillary Wood's 87 tied her for 86th place at 168.
The Cowgirls will be grouped with Northwestern and Texas Tech for their final round and will begin play at 8:45 a.m. (EST).
