Cowgirls Finish Eighth at Mason Rudolph

Oklahoma State's women's golf team carded a 286 on Sunday to finish eighth at the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Course.
The Cowgirls finished the event, which was shortened to 36 holes after rain washed out Saturday's second round, with a 5-under 571 total. OSU came in one shot behind Alabama for seventh place. Southern California outdueled UCLA, finishing with a 16-under 560 total for a two-shot victory over the Bruins.
Freshman Victoria Park earned her first career top 10, finishing alone in sixth place at 6-under 138. The Irvine, Calif., native fired a 5-under 67 on Sunday to move up 21 spots. Park lit up the front nine with a 3-under 33 that included birdies at Nos. 1, 4 and 7. She moved to 4-under par for the day with a birdie at the par-5 14th. After making her lone bogey of the day at the 16th, Park recovered with birdies on her final two holes.
Sophomore Caroline Hedwall carded her second consecutive 71 to tie for 20th at 2-under 142. For the second-straight round, Hedwall played the front nine in 1-under par after carding eight pars and one birdie. After a birdie at the 10th, she posted five consecutive pars before making her lone bogey of the day at the 16th to move back to 1-under par.
Freshman Courtney McKim finished at even-par 144 for the tournament after posting a 1-over 73 on Sunday. McKim's total was good for a 30th-place tie.
Freshman Jane Rah carded a 75 to finish at 147 and tied for 56th place, while classmate Hillary Wood posted a 76 to tie for 71st place at 150.
The Cowgirls will return to action on Oct. 16 when they travel to Palo Alto, Calif., to take part in the Stanford Intercollegiate.
