Cowgirl Basketball Defeats Solna Vikings, 86-65, in Exhibition Finale

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team wrapped up its exhibition season with an 86-65 victory over Solna, Sweden on Saturday afternoon in front of 1,608 fans at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Behind solid performances by junior Trisha Skibbe (21 points and seven rebounds) and Lori Allen (14 points and six rebounds) the Cowgirls (2-0) hit 44 percent from the field and saw four players reach double figures in the scoring column.
Seniors Shelby Hutchens and Thia Willis also reached the mark with 10 points apiece.
OSU opened up a 15-point lead in the first half behind Willis' eight points, including a pair of three-point baskets, to take a 41-26 lead into the intermission.
For Solna (0-7), Krista Ragan led the way with 21 points, including four three-pointers., helping the Vikings cut the Cowgirl lead to nine with 11:35 remaining, before a 12-0 run by OSU sealed the outcome.
The Cowgirls will open the regular season against Oral Roberts on Nov. 22 in the first round of the Bertha Teague Classic.
