2018-19: Notched 15 wins and seven losses at 157 pounds in his senior season… Took first place at the OCU Open, defeating fellow Cowboy Wyatt Sheets, 7-5, in the finals… Notched two technical falls at the Bob Smith Open on his way to a first-place finish… Claimed second at the Reno Tournament of Champions, dropping his first bout of the season to All-American Paul Fox (Stanford)… Took sixth at the Southern Scuffle to open the calendar year… Started for the Cowboys in three duals with one of those matches taking place at 165 pounds.
2017-2018: Went 14-9 on the season at 157 pounds... Started in 14 duals for Oklahoma State... Two of his six dual wins came with bonus points, including major decisions over Zach Moore (West Virginia) and Casey Sparkman (Kent State)... Posted 21 takedowns and escapes on the year, accounting for 23 of the Cowboys’ dual points... Defeated teammates Wyatt Sheets and Dalton Moran to bring home a first-place finish at the OCU Open... Kicked off the Bob Smith Open with major decisions over Braden Wills (Nebraska-Kearney) and Briar Stopp (Central Oklahoma to bring home top honors... Defeated No. 10 Jake Short (Minnesota) in the Cowboys’ first dual of the season... Earned First-Team All-Academic Big 12 honors... Was named to the NWCA All-Academic team for the first time in his career... Was unable to compete in the postseason due to injury.
2016-17: Posted a 20-6 overall record with a perfect 4-0 mark in dual action, competing at both 149 and 157 … Recorded starts at 157 pounds against Minnesota, Oklahoma and Pittsburgh, and a start at 149 against Bucknell … Notched a ranked win over No. 13 DaWaylon Barnes of Oklahoma in the Cowboys’ win over the Sooners in Norman … Tallied 14 bonus point victories, with five technical falls, five major decisions and four falls … In his four dual starts, recorded 14 dual points for the Pokes … Scored a 21-2 technical fall over Bucknell’s Seth Hogue in the season opener … Made appearances at both the Southern Scuffle and Reno Tournament of Champions, helping the Cowboys to team titles in both … Took home the 149-pound title at the Joe Parisi Open, defeating teammate Geo Martinez, 5-2, in the title bout … Finished third at the Outlaw Open and second at the Norseman Open.
2015-16: Compiled a 17-6 overall record and a 1-1 dual record at 149 pounds … Made dual starts against OU and Wyoming … Defeated No. 16 Davion Jeffries in the dual vs. OU, 10-2 … Seven of his wins resulted in bonus points, including one fall, two technical falls and four major decisions … Finished third at the OCU, Oklahoma and Joe Parisi opens … Also competed at the Southern Scuffle.
2014-15 (Redshirt Year): Put together a 26-7 record in his first year as a Cowboy, competing exclusively in open tournaments … Competed at 149 pounds … Collected the most wins of the season of any Cowboy not in the starting lineup … Picked up 12 wins with bonus points – nine major decisions, two falls and one technical fall … Won the Oklahoma Open, the Joe Parisi Open freshman division and the Roger Denker Open … Finished third at the Missouri Valley Open … Also competed at the OCU Open, Bob Smith Open, and Reno Tournament of Champions.
