2018-19: Competed for the Cowboys at 174 and 184 pounds due to various injuries to teammates throughout the season… Accumulated a 28-5 record in his senior campaign… Won a second-consecutive Big 12 title at 174 pounds… Notched a major decision over Wyoming’s Hayden Hastings in the semifinals before upending No. 8 Taylor Lujan in the championship bout… Claimed a first-place finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions with two falls and two major decisions… Made the bump to 184 pounds at the Southern Scuffle where he knocked off No. 17 Sam Colbray of Iowa State en route to a fourth-place finish… Went 14-1 in dual action for the Cowboys, with his single loss coming at the hands of eighth-ranked Ryan Preisch of Lehigh… Claimed the seventh seed entering the NCAA Tournament in Pittsburgh at 174 pounds… Went 2-2 at his second NCAA Championships with wins over Drew Hughes (Michigan State) and Hayden Hastings (Wyoming).
