2024-25 (Redshirt Year): In his redshirt year, completed a flawless 9-0 campaign with six bonus point wins … The 184-pounder took first place at the Bob Smith Open and the Reno Tournament of Champions.
2023-24: Held the starting spot at 174 pounds all season long as a true freshman, posting eight ranked wins and a 12-11 record … Had a strong 3-1 showing at the Big 12 Championships, where he beat Iowa State’s No. 19 MJ Gaitan in the third-place match … Received the 25th-seed at his first NCAA Championships … Secured his first career win against Lehigh’s Thayne Lawrence two days before majoring No. 17 Tate Picklo in the Bedlam dual for his first bonus points and ranked victory, a three-day stretch that earned him NCAA Wrestler of the Week honors … Other key wins included No. 5 Peyton Mocco of Missouri and Oregon State’s No. 13 Matthew Olguin … Also had a clutch 3-2 win in tiebreakers over No. 31 Alex Faison in OSU’s upset at NC State … Won four of his seven matches that reached overtime.
