2024-25: Compiled a 15-9 record while competing at 149 and 157 pounds … Went 1-2 in dual competition with a win against Arizona State’s Austin Scott… Dropped his only ranked match of the season in sudden victory against Wyoming’s No. 22 Jared Hill… Took third place at both the Bob Smith Open and Michigan State Open … Also competed at the Reno Tournament of Champions and the Soldier Salute.
2023-24: One of the team’s most active reserves with an 18-8 record at 149 pounds … Competed at six open tournaments, placing at four of them and capping the year off with a championship at the Golden Norsemen Open … Had a tight match with Chattanooga’s No. 27 Noah Castillo at the Southern Scuffle … Recorded eight technical falls, the team’s most among its reserves … Named an NWCA Scholar All-American for the first time in his career.
2022-23 (Redshirt Year): Wrestled to an 11-5 record at 149 pounds while redshirting, including a 6-2 mark while attached to the team … Went 5-0 with one fall, two major decisions and two tech falls en route to the Bob Smith Open title … Also had a runner-up finish at the Golden Norsemen Open only losing to teammate Dusty Hone … Had five tech falls, three major decisions and two falls on the season.
High School: Wrestled under coach Paul Mayfield at Stilwell High School … A two-time state placer in 2021 and 2022 … Took third at the 2021 Reno Tournament of Champions … Won the Oklahoma freestyle state title at 152 pounds following his senior season … Also played football at Stilwell … Was a member of the National Honor Society and the Honor Roll.
Personal: Son of Mike and Kristy Sheets … Has two brothers, Wyatt and Keaton … Carries on a family legacy at OSU as his father was a two-time NCAA champion and four-time All-American and his brother, Wyatt, was a two-time All-American for the Cowboys … Is an Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary major at Oklahoma State.
