2023 Fall (Fifth Year)
• Leader for the Cowgirls as one of the team’s longest-tenured golfers.
• Competed at the Dale McNamara Invitational.
• Ended her collegiate career tying her lowest 18-hole score, firing a 2-over 74 in the final 18 of the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic ... She also notched a T8 finish at the tournament, marking her second top-10 placement at OSU.
2022-23 (Senior Season)
• Opened the season with a career-best 5th-place finish at the Grace Shin Invitational, closing the weekend with a 74, her lowest 18-hole score as a Cowgirl.
• Competed at the Dale McNamara Invitational as an individual.
• Competed at the ORU Spring Invite as an individual.
2021-22 (Junior Season)
• Made her first career start at the Red Raider Match Play in a tightly contested matchup with Tulsa.
• Competed at the ORU Spring Invite as an individual.
2020-21 (Sophomore Season)
• Did not participate in any events, but was an invaluable member of the Cowgirl squad during the 2020-21 season.
2019-20 (Freshman Season)
• Did not participate in any events, but was an invaluable member of the Cowgirl squad during the 2019-20 season.
Prior to Oklahoma State
• In July of 2018, Ashton was the first ever wire-to-wire winner of the Texas Junior Golf Tour State Match Play Invitational.
• Also won the 2018 Lonestar Preview at Southern Oaks and earned another pair of top-10 finishes on the Texas Junior Golf Tour that year.
• Finished T7 at the NMSU PGM Match Play Championship in June of 2018.
• An honor roll student at Carroll High School, Ashton was accepted into the Honors College at Oklahoma State.
• Ashton picked up golf just four years ago prior to her arrival in Stillwater.
Personal
• Ashton is the daughter of two OSU alums – Jessica and Bryan Begley.
• Has one sister named Madi.
• Is currently studying marketing and history.
