Kicked off her career as a Steeplechase specialist at the Stanford Invitational, cracking the program’s top 10 list with her mark of 10:22.81 for a second-place finish overall… Improved on that performance with a seven-second PR with her second-place run of 10:15.34 at the Oregon Team Invitational, moving her up to fifth on the program’s all-time list… Placed 13th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the Steeplechase… Qualified for the NCAA West First Round.
2026 Indoors
Opened her career in the Orange and Black with a personal best in the 1,000 Meters of 2:49.17 at the Thane Baker Invitational… Set another PR in the Mile at the Tyson Invitational with her mark of 4:46.97… At the Big 12 Indoor Championships, Nelson advanced to the final in the Mile, where she placed tenth overall.
