Tiffany Mikkelson is entering her first season on the coaching staff with the Oklahoma State softball program, serving as the volunteer assistant coach after four memorable years on the field as a Cowgirl from 2013-2016.
As a player, Mikkelson was an integral part of the Cowgirls from day one. She started all 56 games at third base as a freshman in 2013 and led the team in RBI, home runs and slugging percentage as a sophomore in 2014.
In 2015, the Aliso Viejo, California, native blossomed and had a career year, earning a selection to the All-Big 12 and All-Region squads. She posted top-ten Big 12 marks in walks, RBI, total bases, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
As a senior and under then-first year coach Gajewski’s guidance in 2016, Mikkelson continued her stellar performances and played a key role in the Cowgirls’ reemergence as a national powerhouse.
Mikkelson currently holds the record for most walks (5)Â in a game and is the all-time home run leader (35) in Oklahoma State program history.
Aside from her success on the field, Mikkelson also excelled in the classrooms, earning Academic All-Big 12 First Team honor.
