Cowgirl Softball adds six signees on National Signing Day

STILLWATER – Featuring a pair of top-100 recruits and Softball America's 24th-ranked class in the nation, head coach Kenny Gajewski announced Oklahoma State Softball's class of 2026 on National Signing Day.
"First off, we're excited about this class as people," Gajewski said. "We feel like we have continued to find the right people that fit our program and the Cowgirl Way, and these kids fit that mold from the start. This is another class that has a tremendous amount of speed, complemented by some power, and features two pitchers who are poised to help us right away. It's an exciting group and we're super thrilled to get them here."

Kennedy Allen
Chandler, Okla. | Chandler | LHP
High School: A three-star prospect according to On3/Rivals … Boasts a career 0.86 ERA in 516 innings pitched at Chandler with 865 strikeouts, 47 shutouts and 19 no-hitters … Led the nation in wins (30) and strikeouts (342) as a junior according to MaxPreps … Three-time conference MVP and two-time all-district player of the year … Earned OSSAA all-state distinction in 2025 … Tabbed as the Oklahoman's 2024 Little All-City Player of the Year … Named the 2023 all-district pitcher of the year … Collected first team all-district honors in each of her four years competing … Played travel ball with Oklahoma Athletics Nationals Madden/Davis for one year.
Personal: Daughter of Erin and Chaz Allen … Has one sister, Logan … Her mother, Erin, played softball at the University of Missouri … Her uncle, Shane, attended OSU from 2005-10 … Enjoys drawing in her free time … Intends to join FCA once on campus … Plans to major in business/entrepreneurship.
Gajewski on Allen: "Kennedy is a left-handed pitcher from Oklahoma that we're really excited about. She brings a different dynamic pitching from the left side, and she's able to command multiple pitches at a young age. We think she's only going to get better here at Oklahoma State under coach (Carrie) Eberle, and we're excited to get her here and start her process."
Dawson Blue
Laurinburg, N. C. | IMG Academy | IF
High School: A four-star prospect ranked as the No. 76 recruit in the nation by On3/Rivals … Competed at IMG Academy for her senior year after three years at Scotland HS in N.C., where she set the single-season home run record (11) and career home run record (20) … Maintained a .446 batting average with a .560 on-base percentage through three years at Scotland and totaled 125 runs, 100 hits and 98 RBIs … Helped lead Scotland to three conference championships and a state runner-up finish in 2025 … Named the team MVP and conference player of the year in 2025 and the team offensive MVP in 2023 … Recognized as the hitter of the year by the High School OT Association in 2025 … Collected all-conference and all-district honors on three separate occasions and was a two-time all-state selection … A three-time scholar-athlete All-American … Played travel ball for Athletics Gold Tamborra for three years after playing with Intensity JJW for five … Finished the 2025 summer with a .330 BA and a .444 OBP to go with 32 hits, five home runs and 22 RBIs … Tallied 110 career home runs in travel ball play … Also played basketball for eight years, volleyball for four years, ran track for three years and competed in wrestling and swimming for a year each.
Personal: Daughter of Sherita and Phillip Blue … Has four siblings, Madison, Dominic, Thomas and Vida … Her dad, Phillip, played baseball at St. Andrews University for two years while her cousin, Cedric Jones, played professional football for the New England Patriots … Plans to major in pre-pharmacy.
Gajewski on Blue: "Dawson is an electric athlete that plays in the middle of the infield. She has great speed and big-time power from a little frame. She plays with a lot of energy that's going to fit the Cowgirl Way."
Aliyah Garcia
Hollywood, Calif. | Notre Dame | IF
High School: A three-time first team all-league performer who helped lead Notre Dame to three league championships … Holds a career .558 batting average with a .600 on-base percentage while notching 52 stolen bases … Earned all-CIF honors in 2024 and 2025 and was honored as the Mission League MVP in 2025 … Named to the Sports Illustrated all-SoCal team and the Los Angeles Times all-star team in 2025 … Played travel ball for Firecrackers Rico/Brashear where she contributed to a pair of top-eight finishes at Alliance Nationals and the Colorado Sparkler.
Personal: Daughter of Vanessa Vargas and Erik Garcia … Has two sisters, Airis and Arianna … Her mother, Vanessa, played college softball at Cal State Dominguez Hills and her father, Erik, played college football at the University of Arizona and Lincoln University … Enjoys painting and baking in her free time … Plans to major in business.
Gajewski on Garcia: "Aliyah is another electric athlete that can play in the middle of the infield. She's a player that's blossomed late and continues to shine on the top travel ball circuit in the country. We can't wait to see how she continues to develop once in Stillwater."
Peyton May
Corona, Calif. | Norco | RHP
High School: A four-star prospect ranked as the 121st recruit in the nation by On3/Rivals … Went 10-2 and struck out 132 batters in 80.0 innings while pitching to a 1.49 ERA as a junior … Guided her team to state and CIF championships in 2025 … Earned first team all-league honors to go with all-tournament honors from the Michelle Carew Classic … Named a first team all-academic student … Played club ball for the Corona Angels for nine years and was named to the Alliance Nationals 18u all-tournament team in 2025.
Personal: Daughter of Krista and John May … Has two siblings, Camryn and Maximus … Plans to major in management.
Gajewski on May: "We're super excited about Peyton. She's a right-handed pitcher who continues to get better and better as the years go by. We think she can be a mainstay in the rotation right from the start and she comes from one of the top travel ball programs in the country."
Reese Poage
Mustang, Okla. | Mustang | C/IF
High School: A four-star prospect ranked as the No. 62 recruit in the country by On3/Rivals … Posted a .463 batting average with a .563 on-base percentage with 24 walks and only one strikeout as a senior to help Mustang to a 2025 6A Fastpitch state championship … Named the 2025 district defensive player of the year and earned all-state and all-region distinction … Collected district player of the year honors in 2024 … Three-time first team all-district performer and two-time first team all-COAC honoree … A district and regional champion in each of her four years as a Bronco … Played travel ball for Iowa Premier National for three years where she won the 2025 Colorado Sparkler TV Bracket Championship … Batted .386 and got on base at a .443 clip to go with nine home runs last summer … Also played basketball for 10 years.
Personal: Daughter of Rebecca and Nick Poage … Has one sister, Jenna … Plays the guitar in her free time … Plans to major in sports management.
Gajewski on Poage: "Reese is a powerful bat that has a unique skillset as she can play both catcher and shortstop at a high level. She's another Oklahoma kid that should be able to come into Oklahoma State and put up impressive numbers and have a great career here at OSU."
Kinleigh Russell
Bowling Green, Ky. | South Warren | C/IF
High School: A three-star prospect according to On3/Rivals … A career .509 hitter with a .564 on-base percentage, 185 hits, 48 doubles and 18 triples … Three-time all-district tournament performer and two-time all-region and all-region tournament honoree … Named to the all-state team in 2025 … Was instrumental in her team's run to four district championships, three region championships and a pair of state semifinal appearances … Played club ball for Fury Platinum X and batted .375 with a .961 OPS and drew nine walks this fall.
Personal: Daughter of Jenny and Chad Russell … Has one sibling, Carson … Enjoys reading and weightlifting in her spare time … Plans to major in secondary education.
Gajewski on Russell: "Kinleigh is another speedy athlete, who hits from the left side and can play anywhere on the field, including catcher. She'll be very valuable to the team with her versatility, and we're excited to get her here."
