2013-14 (Junior season)
• Played in 22 games as a junior, including 10 straight from early December to mid-January.
• Played a season-high eight minutes at Kansas.
2012-13 (Sophomore season)
• Did not play in the season opener against UC Davis.
• Played 11 minutes against Akron and recorded his first points of the season.
• Missed 12 games after suffering a knee injury against Tennessee in the second game of the season.
• Played 12 minutes against the Volunteers.
• Saw his first action since injuring his knee against Texas Tech in Stillwater; hit a three-pointer in three minutes.
• Played Texas Tech a second time after missing the previous four games; responded by tying his career high with six points; also had a career-high two steals.
2011-12 (Freshman season)
• Played in 20 games for the Cowboys off the bench as a true freshman; averaged 7.5 minutes per contest.
• Scored a career-high six points on two occasions, first vs Iowa State, then against Missouri in the Big 12 Championship.
• Shot 55 percent from the floor, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc on the season.
• Played a career-high 18 minutes against the Tigers in the final game of the season.
2010-11 (Canarias Academy)
• Spent one season at the Canarias Basketball Academy in the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain.
• The team traveled to the United States earlier this year, playing nine games in eight days along the east coast.
• The squad participated in the National Prep School Invitational on the campus of the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, R.I. against nationally renowned teams like Notre Dame Prep and the Winchendon School.
• Chose OSU over Maryland, Washington, Seton Hall, Providence, Gonzaga and Utah State, among others.
International Competition
• Played in nine games in Division A of the FIBA U20 European Championships during the summer of 2010.
• Shot 50 percent from the floor for the U20 team.
• Was a member of the Czech U20 squad that finished second in Division B in 2009, losing to the Netherlands 88-77 in overtime of the championship final. The finish moved Czech Republic to Division A the next season.
• Played for the Czech Republic U18 team during the European Championships, Division B in 2008.
• Czech Republic finished runner-up to Slovenia, falling 68-60 in the championship final.
• Scored eight points in 16 minutes against Sweden in the qualifying rounds.
Personal
Born Dec. 4, 1990, in Brno, Czech Republic, Marek is the son of Radek and Ivana Souèek. He has a younger brother, Martin. Marek is majoring in marketing at Oklahoma State.
