• finished the season with a .310 batting average, with eight doubles, four home runs and 27 runs batted in.
• had a .985 fielding percentage with four errors in 269 chances.
• batted .438 against left-handed pitchers and .667 as a pinch hitter.
• had seven multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RBI games.
• went 3-for-3 against Indiana on Feb. 14 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored.
• hit a home run in the seventh inning against Wichita State to give the Cowgirls a 5-3 lead and the eventual win.

• hit her first collegiate home run, a solo shot, vs. South Florida on March 9.

• matched her career high with four assists at third base vs. Missouri on April 7.
at Edmond Memorial High School (2003-06)
• lettered all four years at Edmond Memorial High School.
• served as captain both her junior and senior year.
• batted .340 with four home runs and 35 RBIs as a senior.
• was named All-State and was twice selected to the All-Edmond team.
• named to the Oklahoman All-City Team and earned all-conference honors.
• led the Lady Bulldogs to regional titles all four years and helped lead them to the state finals in 2004.

Personal
Born Sept. 22, 1987, Sam is the daughter of Berry and Rhonda Heinlein. She has an older sister, Shannon. Her aunt, Kathleen Heinlein, played second base for the Cowgirls in 1979. Sam is majoring in elementary education at Oklahoma State.
