Up-tempo Oklahoma State defeated defensive-minded West Virginia, 91-84, in overtime Tuesday evening to snap a five-game losing streak.
Parsa Fallah led a group of six double-figure scorers with 18 points to go with Kanye Clary's 17 points and six assists.
The Cowboys won in overtime for the first time since February 2022, snapping what had been an eight-game losing streak.
WVU entered the day surrendering just 63.5 points (fifth-lowest nationally) while playing at the nation's fourth-slowest tempo.
OSU (10th in adjusted tempo coming into the day) shot 49.2% from the field, including 10-of-23 from deep. Its 91 points were the most by a WVU opponent this season.
The Cowboys closed the first half on a 13-2 run to take a 46-33 lead in the locker room.
After shooting 59% in the opening period, OSU missed 13 of its first 15 second-half shots. DJ Thomas' putback capped a 10-0 Mountaineer run that slid the visitors in front, 56-55, near the midway point.
OSU snapped back with eight straight makes, and the lead changed hands six more times through the end of regulation.
The Cowboys led 77-72 after Clary's three-pointer with 3:05 to play but went scoreless the rest of the period.
Chance Moore scored twice in the final 69 seconds, including a driving layup that knotted the game at 77 with 19 seconds left.
Clary missed a deep three at the horn that would have won the game.
Instead, OSU scored the first seven points of the overtime. Anthony Roy got it started with a three-point play on the first possession, and Jaylen Curry made a three to extend the Cowboy lead to 84-77 with less than 2:00 to play.
The Cowboys handled the WVU press and added six more points to their tally in the last 25 seconds, capped by Fallah's dunk.

OSU has retaken the lead in the all-time series, 14-13.
The win was the Cowboys' fourth straight over the Mountaineers in Stillwater, pushing their home series record to 7-6.
OSU is 1-1 against Ross Hodge, avenging last year's NIT quarterfinal loss to his North Texas team.
Steve Lutz is 1-1 against WVU.
Home teams have won the last seven meetings in this series, going back to 2022.

Team Notes:

The Cowboys notched their first win since upsetting No. 16 BYU on Feb. 4. The five-game losing streak was their longest of the Lutz Era.
OSU claimed its first overtime win since a 82-79 win against Kansas State on Feb. 19, 2022. The Cowboys had lost eight straight in between.
OSU (17-11) has now matched its 2024-25 win total (17-18) in seven fewer games.
The win was OSU's 14th at home this season -- most by a Cowboy team in the regular season since 2012-13.
The Cowboys are 884-272 in Gallagher-Iba Arena's 88 seasons.
OSU's 13-point halftime lead (46-33) was its largest in Big 12 play. The previous high was a nine-point lead over UCF back in early January.
The Cowboys are now 14-1 when leading at halftime.
OSU's 46 first-half points were the most surrendered by WVU in a half this season. The previous high was 45 (twice in second halves at Arizona and vs. Clemson).
OSU has scored at least 81 points in all 17 wins.
The Cowboys topped 90 points for the eleventh time this season – one shy of the program record set in 2016-17.

Individual Notes:

Parsa Fallah grabbed eight boards to reach 500 for his collegiate career before going down with an injury in the final seconds of the game.
Andrija Vukovic's 12 points were a new career high.

The Cowboys begin a two-game road swing this Saturday at Cincinnati before continuing on to Orlando for a Tuesday date with UCF.
OSU has won both regular season Big 12 matchups between the schools (2024 in Cincinnati and 2025 in Stillwater) but fell to the Bearcats in the first round of last year's Big 12 tournament in Kansas City.
Cincinnati (15-12, 7-7 heading into Tuesday's game at Texas Tech) played itself back into the NCAA tournament picture last Saturday with an 84-68 win over Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse to run its winning streak to four games.
