January 29, 2026 | Cowgirl Golf
GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Oklahoma State women's golf tees off Friday at the Collegiate Invitational for its first tournament of the Spring 2026 season.
The Guadalajara Country Club hosts the event. Ranked by Top100GolfCourses.com as Mexico's eighth-best course, the par-72, 6,210-yard course features a lush, green landscape, right in the heart of the city.
The Cowgirls placed top-five in three of their four fall tournaments, highlighted by an 8-stroke victory at the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 20-21). The team's strong start to the season earned them the No. 19 spot in both the NCAA and WGCA end-of-fall rankings.
Format:
The Collegiate Invitational is a 54-hole stroke-play tournament composed of three 18-hole rounds, with 27 holes played daily, Friday and Saturday. Leading the Pack
For the first time this year, Oklahoma State (No. 19) is both the highest-ranked team and the only top-25 squad in the tournament field.
However, six of the other 11 competing schools boast a top-50 ranking in the Scoreboard by Clipp'd official NCAA rankings.
Florida State (No. 28) is the only opposing team in the top-30, with Houston (No. 32), Virginia (No. 38), NC State (No. 39), TCU (No. 41) and Colorado (No. 43) filling out the rest of the list.
Meet the Squad
Senior Grace Kilcrease will hold down the No. 1 spot for the Pokes. Kilcrease, a Golfweek preseason All-American, posted 3 rounds in the 60s and 5 rounds at par-or-better in the fall. Her campaign was highlighted by a T-3 finish at the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 20-21), leading the Cowgirls to their first team tournament title since the 2023 Big 12 Championship.
Sophomore Tarapath Panya is set to play from OSU's No. 2 slot for the second time in four events this season. She played at par-or-better in nearly half of her rounds in the fall (3 of 8).
Ellie Bushnell, OSU's highest-ranked golfer (No. 64), fills the No. 3 role. The junior enjoyed a breakout Fall 2025 campaign that saw her post a team-best 71.18 (+0.4) stroke average. Bushnell also carded the third-lowest 18-hole score in program history at the second round of the Schooner Fall Classic.
Stillwater native Lucy Darr makes her return to the Oklahoma State lineup for the first time since the Carmel Cup (Aug. 29-31). Darr last played as an individual at the Lady Clerico (Sept. 15-16), where she tied for third place, the best finish of her college career.
After last playing at the World Amateur Team Championships (Oct. 1-4) as a member of the Taiwan Women's National Team, Yu-Chu Chen rounds out the squad in the No. 5 spot. The freshman played in 2 events and 6 rounds in her first fall campaign, posting a 74.00 (+3.0) stroke average.
Summer Lee will compete as an individual. The sophomore has played in all 18 possible events since arriving in Stillwater.
