Cowboy Tennis Wraps Up Play in First Fall Tournament

Tulsa, Okla. - Oklahoma State men's tennis kicked off the fall season at the UTR Tulsa this weekend.Â
Head coach Dustin Taylor sent a trio of Cowboy sophomores to the University of Tulsa for the first tournament of the fall season.

Headlining the Cowboy participants was Ian Bracks. The Tulsa native was in familiar territory and it showed as he cruised through his first day of competition, defeating Kruz Ramos in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, and taking down Tulsa's Calum Jestin in a third-set tiebreaker, 10-4. Bracks' run came to an end as Tulsa's Timothy Carlsson Seger defeated Bracks, 6-1, 6-4.

Second year's Nicolas Kobelt and Thomas Gadecki each picked up their first fall wins of the 2025-26 campaign with wins over Hunter Nelson and Ty Taylor, respectively. Both fell in the round of 16, Kobelt dropping his match in tiebreaker fashion to Carlsson Seger, 7-6 (4), 1-6, 1-0 (10-4), and Gadecki falling to Tulsa's Gus Tettamble, 6-2, 6-3.

The Pokes will return to Tulsa next weekend for the ITA All-American Championships, beginning on Saturday.
