Cowgirl Golf Headed West for Yale Invitational

STILLWATERÂ - The 27th-ranked Oklahoma State women's golf team, led by sixth-year head coach Greg Robertson, heads out west to the PGA West Norman Course for the Yale Invitational in La Quinta, California, on March 10-11.

The Cowgirls will tee it up at historic PGA West, which features a staggering nine golf courses. The Pokes will tee off at the Greg Norman Course, the newest course at the PGA West complex. The course features a par 72 layout, spanning 6,176 yards, with the weather on Monday sitting at a high of 78 with sunny skies with temperatures dropping 10 degrees to a high of 68 and cloudy heading into the final round on Tuesday.Â

The 12-team field will take on 54 holes of stroke play competition. The Cowgirls will be paired with Grand Canyon and, fellow Big 12-member, Kansas State for the first day of competition, playing 36 holes. There will be a shotgun start each day at 9:15 a.m. CT.

The Lineup
· This week's lineup features a blend of veterans and newcomers. Three freshmen will compete with the orange and black, while the top half of the lineup features a combined eight-years of collegiate golf experience.

· Sophomore Marta Silchenko leads off the lineup. Silchenko sat out the fall season due to injury but returned to action for the spring. To open the 2025 campaign, she landed a third-place finish at the Texas State Invitational and followed with a tie for 30th at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational.

· Grace Kilcrease, the veteran of the squad, leads the Cowgirls in most statistical categories. She is coming off six straight top 10s, the fourth longest streak in recorded program history and the longest streak to open a Cowgirl career. The Carmel Cup champion has the lowest stroke average on the team with a 71.35.

· Ellie Bushnell has had the strongest start to the spring campaign for the Cowgirls. She is coming off back-to-back ties for 13th at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational and the FAU Paradise Invitational. Bushnell, having played in the lineup in every tournament this season, has finished top 15 in five of the seven events this season.

· Freshman Summer Lee, coming off her individual win at the Texas State Invitational, is looking to build on her strong resume. Her win in Texas was the first win by an OSU freshman since 2020.

· Fellow freshman Tarapath Panaya is making her fifth start of the season. Panya opened her collegiate career with a tie for seventh at the Dale McNamara Invitational last fall.
